Back to the topic of this thread....

I finally brought our new-to-us TT home from the dealer yesterday. It's at a reputable local trailer shop today having the bearings and brakes serviced. (I'll pump lube into the zerks myself but I'm not comfortable pulling the bearings myself.) I could have had the dealer do it but I'd rather take it to a place I know and trust.

Next on the list: dewinterize and sanitize the water system, clean the roof, wash & wax, lube and condition everything and then load it for our first trip May 8-10 at a local provincial park about 10 minutes away for a thorough test before my 30 warranty expires. After that, the mods will begin.

Enjoy and Good Luck I did that routine last year before deciding to buy a new Roo. I am with you on the Ford, had. Chevrolet Avalanche was not impressed and never owned a Ram only a Jeep, love my 2014 F150 FX4 EcoBoost though

Opened out tt and cleaned inside. Then installed Maxair 2. Attached new ladder to back and put in new shelf liners - now to put in dishes and pots and pans

In our Crusader 295rst, Added an LED light strip above the pantry with a switch hidden inside the door. Tapped into the low voltage wire that runs to the furnace right below the compartment. It's the warm white light that just perfect in the evening while watching tv.

Use the existing bolt in the awning. Nothing is going to come apart. Once you get the bracket bolted in using the existing bolt, align the bracket with the arm and using the bracket as a template, drill a 9/32" dia hole and secure with the 1/4 x 3/4 ss hex bolt and ss nyloc nut furnished.

Went to Jonesville, NC to get Wood 01's 5er after he blew the transfer case into literally 3 pcs on I 77 last night. Hooked on to his 5er and took it over to Leatherwood CG in Ferguson, NC. Heck of a birthday for Steve, his wife said he's getting a $3000 transfer case for his birthday and she will expect a similar item costing the same. Poor old broken down 1500 Silverado had no problems.

Met Steve and Linda in 2008 at a Rockwood/Flagstaff rally at Pymatuning Lake near Lake Erie and haven't seen them since. I do believe it was probably the first FR rally and there were 6 or 8 couples.

Even more impressive when you state that its been 6 or 7 years since you have seen them.

On a side note, after reading this, I am starting to disbelieve some of the things that Turbs has said about you.

Didn't do anything to the 5er, but while I had the tonneau cover off to tow Steve's 5er, decided to try the Sherline adaptor I made, so I threw (lifted) the floor jack into the bed, backed up to the 5er and just jacked it up high enough to get it level and off the landing jacks. Worked like a charm. Gauge showed ?. About what I expected even with all the junk in the front compartment and the basement.

Raised each of the TT's wheels with a Trailer Aid Plus (works great BTW), and pumped new Lucas Red N Tacky through the hubs. Did not disassemble them since we purchased it just last September, but did give each wheel a shake to check adjustment and they all seemed fine.

Cleaned the WD hitch rub points with a drill mounted wire brush, then sprayed them all with Satin Black Rustoleum then EZ-Slide Graphite Based Coating. Haven't used this before so we'll see how I like it, goal would be to reduce noise without grease.

Completely disassembled my "rvq" grill "ten years old now" and cleaned it for the upcoming season!
We love this little grill even though most dont.
I guess after grilling with it for ten years it's in pretty good shape!
