Replaced the crappy breakaway cable with a new coiled cable. The old one was too long and would occasionally find it dragging on the ground.
This one is coiled so wont drag, and comes with a carabiner to clip onto the truck and a keychain type ring to attach at the switch.

Made by the Equalizer guys I believe ...
Zip™ Breakaway Cable » Fastway Trailer Products

Found it locally for about $11 all in.

Finally installed the BAL Lock-Arm stabilizers that I bought a year ago. I realized I was going to have to cut away some of the trim strips underneath the trailer in order to get a good seat on the brackets and hit the I-beam, and I really didn't want to do that to a brand new trailer. So I procrastinated. A year. :-)

Tomorrow I attach OC's awning pole hardware.

Left to do is remove the poorly placed water filter, and add cable ports in the entertainment center to pass HDMI cables from the BluRay up to the TV.

Well, have you formed an opinion on the BAL's yet?

How many and how did you mount them?

Pics would be real nice too.

Wife: "Did you take pics? You know someone's going to ask for pics!"
Me: No, no one is going to want to see pics.

Way to go, Timex. Prove my wife right. :-) I'll get pics for you tomorrow.

My first impression? The darn things work! Before I installed them I could rock the trailer by pushing against the side. Once installed and locked, that puppy doesn't budge.

PS: Wife is laughing at me from her office after I read this to her.

As for black streaks many have recommended Amazing cleaner from dollar tree. I have used and it does work but my concern is how strong it is and takes wax off. I waxed my MH this summer and it is a JOB, but the wax took the black streaks off better than anything else I have tried. Another benefit of the wax is the streaks clean off so much easier after you wax. My MH is not full body paint and the oxidation of the gelcoat was fairly extensive since it sits out side in the weather. I would like to get another coat of wax on it but not sure when that will happen.

Not so much as what I am doing to my camper but what the Campingworld dealership is going to do..
I get a new outside speaker and awning for my 2703WS because the numbnuts at Campingworld in Calera Alabama backed a trailer into mine....
Tore my awning 3 - 4 layers down (it was rolled up of course) and a good 10 inch gash..
Broke the speaker off the camper ..
Damaged the body...
Campingworld says that they just don't know HOW that would have happened and one of their people actually suggested that it didn't happen on their lot!! (BTW where my camper has been for the past 4 weeks waiting on warranty work!)
And, of course, they just couldn't understand why I got soooo upset
I will never understand these people.

Replaced most of my interior lights with these LEDs.
20X Warm White T10 921 194 RV Trailer 42 SMD 12V Backup Reverse LED Lights Bulbs | eBay

They aren't as bright as the incandescent bulbs but will be fine for most of the fixtures.

For the main fixtures, I've ordered these to see if they are brighter

I think I would be attentive to the screw and wire openings since they have been exposed to the elements. Doesn't take much for water to find a way in. I'd check to see if there might be some staining/water damage in an interior cabinet or down a wall before you sign off on the repair.

Just my .02.

Timex I have to agree with you. It has been raining here too much and I know water got in -- the speaker was FULL of water.
Something tells me they are going to try to get over on me any way they can. That seems to be their way of doing customers.

Ouch!! We feel for you after having so many of our own problems with Camping World. Best of luck and don't give them an inch!!! Take lots of pictures and document everything!

Side detail, where I had to cut the trim to get a good seat for the bracket. I used 14-2 2" hex-head metal screws, not self-tapping, to get through the wood framing that is between the bottom skin and the I-beam.

Front detail. This was the show stopper last year. If you put the bracket up against the seam, the bolts are 1/8" inch from the edge of the I-beam. I imagined the would rip right through. I took a 5/8" thick block of bamboo flooring I had laying around and used is to build a level platform for the bracket, and cut some of the plastic underbody away. I used construction glue to hold the block in place, bored holes through it, and again used the same 14-2 screws. Nice fit. Coated the entire thing with black Rustoleum (and got some rusting spots while I was down there).
