Thanks RedWolf for the pics.

I guess I didn't realize that this was on a 5w. So this is considered 2 sets?

I see electric stabs on the back, are you going to put a set on them?

Thanks I know a lot of people who have had less than happy experiences with them and I hope I have learned my lesson. I plan of being very "diplomatic" in my dealings with them.. Thats the word the lawyer told me to use.
I plan to give them no quarter.

Yes, each set is a pair of stabilizing arms. The stabilizers work with the scissor jacks as well. I want to see how these work for the front before I buy a 3rd set for the rear. They don't seem to wiggle as much as the front legs.

Installed a Fan-Tastic Vent and the Vent cover this last weekend in the restroom makes a big difference, looking forward to installing one in the bedroom.

By day, are you seeing that you missed spots?

I found a car wash here in town that has a huge 17' tall bay I can pull my 5er into, so I'll give it a wash and wax next weekend. (Drought conditions preclude washing vehicles at home)

Missed one bug up high in the center other than that it's clean. 25 footers don't take much effort.

Hmm, that's a nice idea.
There's a new car-wash opened up, not too far from home or the storage place that I use, and the bay looks really tall. I might have to check with them that they support something that big. (Don't want to drive into some huge tall bay only to find that the spray arm is only at 8 ft )

I'm looking for stabilizers too (for my 8281WS, so should be almost identical frame to yours), and wondered if you'd considered any of the other sets before getting the BALs ?

I was hoping to not need to do too much extra work beyond just drilling and bolting

Spent 3 days over this long weekend waxing the 33CKTS with 2 coats on the nose cap...

While it was here I also changed that noisy fridge fan for a quiet ball bearing computer fan.

Took our C.O.W. to have a laundry list of repairs completed before the warranty expires in October. It was truly a lovely trip pulling a 42' fiver through Atlanta. Get to do it again when I pick her up.

I have to do the fan thing but where are they located, I have several new PC fans to use?

From the outside through the top vent opening the fan is mounted below the fridge cooling fins.

On mine there was a 6 inch high piece of plywood at the bottom of the opening that I had to remove as well. It was attached with silicone which I assume it's there to keep water from entering the opening. fortunately I had some silicone to reattach it.

I also had to swap the power plug over to the new fan.

Built a new flag base. Made a compass rose style base out of some oak and an oak dowel with a piece of pressure treated under it. No glue, screws or nails its all held together using the dowel that I threaded into the base. It can be unscrewed so it can point north and give the wind direction. The pressure tread piece goes under the tongue jack to hold the base down. Flag pole is one of the PVC ones you see people using.

It isn't the BALs, it is the trailer. I needed a solid connection, so I couldn't mount the bracket through the trim strips, and in the front I would have missed the I-beam if I had placed them up against the lip of metal separating the front bay from the underside sheathing.

I believe the all are similar and would run into similar issues on my rig. Wouldn't hurt to take a look at your rig to see if it is the same as mine.

I read reviews here and on Amazon, and picked the BALs. Didn't see, to be much difference between them and the StrongArm units.

This weekend, she got a spa weekend with a bath, a wax job and an extra thorough cleaning inside. Even did the windows! DH drilled a hole in the AV/radio cabinet so we could run the blu-ray cords through the wall and behind the fireplace to the pop up tv. Added a solar light for our flagpole as well. Caulked the rain gutter joints to further decrease black streaks. Tomorrow begins the loading/packing process for Goshen.

Thanks. I'm picking up the 5er for a trip tomorrow, so I'll be taking at look at the chassis and will compare to your photos.

Another forum member installed the Ultra Fab Eliminators and seemed to have an easier install, on another similar Rockwood

I'm still very torn on whether to go for the BAL or Ultrafab, which are similar design, or the steadyfast with fewer but longer braces
