Bob Caldwell (OC West)

Went to Lowes and got (3) 8' lengths of 5" sq. vinyl post covers and have made the 6 straps and 1" square alum flat washers to mount them on his trailer this afternoon. He said he had to drive 3,000 miles to get them and have them mounted.

I'm obviously missing something here, but that's nothing unusual ;-)

Ride Rite Air Bags

Installed a set of the Ride Rite Air Bags on the 2012 GMC 2500HD, today.....need to find a good excuse to hook that 5th wheel on and get it on the highway...hoping for an improved ride to help on a heavy tongue weight....TV had been sitting down about 2 1/4 inches when hooked up.

Yeah, I had seen yours before on here....bought the one from Forest River that they use in the Cedar Creek/Silverbacks......only used two aluminum studs to anchor it on but I believe it should hold.

Noticed one of my tires was losing air. I took off the tire and dunked it into a large tub of water to find the leak. Much to my surprise, the tire was fine but I had a crack in the rim. Now I gotta see if the dealer will cover it under warranty.
The little scratch looking spot in the picture is the crack

New TPMS saved my bacon today. We were east of Texarkana and the TPMS started wailing. Rapid loss of air, rear passenger trailer tire.

Several years ago I lost the same tire on my prior trailer in nearly the same spot.

Picked up a replacement at Walmart, as they are the only ones open, and tomorrow is Sunday. Marathon. I'll replace it with a better tire when I get home.

Sure am happy I bought the TPMS!

Installed my new Furion Camera prior to leaving Goshen. All the way home the camera worked just fine! Can see behind with no drop outs or jerky ess like the old system. This work in motion as advertised.

I spent a couple hrs re-engineering the bracket for the transfer pump.I was working on my undercoating project and noticed the pump and bracket was loose. One of the 2 #10 sheet metal screws holding it to the frame either loosened up or was never tight.Even with both screws tight it flopped around like a half dead fish and eventually the head(s) would pop off the screws and leave it dangeling on the hoses. It was easily reinforced with a triangular strap and 2 1/4-20 capscrews and nuts.Ill come back and re-shoot the under coating later.

Replaced a troublesome light on the bedroom slide. the button to turn the light on and off wouldnt always turn the light on. got a hold of Henry with Cedar Creek and he had 4 replacement lights shipped out for me.

other then that just did some general cleaning on the inside and took the cobweb duster to the outside

Installed the replacement iRV66 DVD/stereo system (original was suffering from the known audio cut-out issue)
The replacement seems ok so far, with no audio cutout, BUT strangely the equalizer display on the front of the unit seems to be showing some repeating pattern instead of anything remotely related to the audio that's playing, and it's kinda annoying.

Was hoping to install the new bedroom TV mount also, but I guess that'll have to wait for next weekend
I'll have to contact Todd again and see if he has any ideas

Tonight will see a full interior cleaning. Thursday morning I'm Bristol bound!

Took the 4 homemade JT Strongarms off, wire wheeled the rust and repainted them. Got the 2 back ones on and the front ones painted and now it's too hot to install the fronts. Will do that tomorrow morning.
