We have a 2016 Rockwood Signature Ultra Light 8244WS that we bought new. It is 26' 9" long and has a GVWR of 8,600#. It has a dining table and chairs option in the street-side slide, rear sofa with rear picture window, curb-side kitchen, split bath, bedroom wardrobe slide, and walk-around, full-size (80" ) queen bed. We bought it because of that floorplan and because the length would fit in most National Park and Forest Service campgrounds. And Flagstaff built exactly the same floorplan, but with a different model name and number.

Shortly after we bought the trailer, Rockwood and Flagstaff both dropped that short fifth wheel model. We special-ordered ours, but the local Rockwood dealer had a fully optioned model (sand-colored body, Corian countertops, cherry cabinets, bedroom TV, outdoor gas grill, etc.) that sat on his lot for months because it was overpriced for its size. He finally discounted it when he went out of business after 30 years in the same location.

So there are newer short 5th wheels out there, even from Forest River.

The Arctic Fox 27-5fl and Cougar 25res are both 29.5' long, not 25-26'.

We love ours

We have a 26 ft Flagstaff and love ours. There is also a Rockwood that is the clone. The dealer had the measurements off so we got the Flagstaff. It is a 2016. We have never had any issues to fix except buying new tires and got a new mattress. Love it.

do a search on RVUSA.com You will be surprised what you find.

You may have to travel a bit to get it but they are out there.

All are correct. We want All the Flash, Without The Cash. So what do we think will ultimately happen? Something has to suffer somewhere. Businesses are in business for one reason... to make money. And right now they can sell pretty much anything they make. We all created the monster.

It would help the OP if you posted the model number, not just 26 ft.

I love how people assume that since thier model is 25RLS, its 25 feet long.

Our 25rls is 29.5.

They made our under 30 ft camper for 2 years and stopped selling because no one wanted a smaller 5th wheel

I agree, I've only seen one or two RVs, whose model number was its actual length.

I think you meant 245RKS, since no Cougar 245PKS.
And its actual length is 26' 3".

As was said, just because it has 23 in the model number, doesn't mean it's 23 ft long. It's actually over 25 ft.

But this one definitely is in the OP's range.

I didn't get a chance to read the whole thread so sorry if i'm repeating someone. I'd really like to see a trailer that is exactly like a 22 foot trailer but with a fifth wheel added to the front, WITHOUT ADDING HEIGHT! so the front bunk could kind of being along the lines of what is over the cab on a class C, maybe a little taller I've seen utility trailers/ car haulers with this type of configuration, which would be a great starting point for a custom rig, they just tend to have very low ground clearance.

Just traded in my 2007 cougar 244 efs for a bigger camper yesterday. Was a great camper just to small for us and our 3 dogs.
