Wholesale Warranties vs. Good Sam
We are seriously considering purchasing a warranty/repair insurance. We purchased a new travel trailer within the past 2 months. It came with a 1-year factory warranty. The dealer tried to sell us an extended warranty but we declined. This is our 2nd RV and we found with our previous Travel Trailer that The extended warranty sold by the dealer we overpriced. Some initial checking in the marketplace indeed showed that purchasing an extended warranty directly costs less than getting it from a dealer during the time of purchase.
So, my question for the forum is Good Sam vs Wholesale Warranties? I am not asking if it is a good idea to purchase an extended warranty. I have read the threads that discuss that and we have decided that because of the amount of travel we do and the level of repair we are comfortable performing, we would be much more comfortable with warranty/insurance coverage. Respectfully, we are only interested in participating in discussions comparing aftermarket warranties with a focus on Good Sam and Wholesale Warranties.
BTW, for purposes of this thread, I have been using warranty and insurance somewhat interchangeably. However, I understand there is a difference between the two terms. I would be interested in comments about the differences.
So, your thoughts about Good Sam's policy vs those offered by Wholesale Warranties?
