Winegard Antenna

My first broken Item (except popped off parking light, read other post) was the winegard antenna. While my pulling down to twist antenna after it was up the handle, spring, and the bottom part of the white plastic thing with teeth came off also with about 3 inches of plastic sleeve which is attached to the white thing with teeth. My question is it has about a 3 inch sleeve that goes up into the ceiling and after more looking at it, almost looks like it broke off something like the 3 inch sleeve is supposed to be attached to something on the roof side (since it is not a straight clean cut on the end) or is it just the fact that the plastic sleeve wasn't cut straight originally? My camper is still at the campground in storage so I can't look further into it. Also on getting a Direct tv dish it looks more difficult that I first imagined Winegard doesn't have one for Direct TV HD just dish network, so I called Direct TV and they told me to call winegard, when I call winegard I just get voicemail and it doesn't work because no one ever calls me back. Besides that I really enjoy my camper and very happy with the campground we stay at only about an hour from work and about an hour and a half from my home. They will pull camper out, dump it, store it, and then re set it up for your next arrival. www.mountainlakecampground.com .

Don't know if this pdf contains the information (diagrams and parts numbers) for your specific antenna, but it should provide basic information to help you out. Manuals for other models of rv antennas are available for download at www.winegard.com. Batwings seem to all carry an RV-**** model number designation.

Hope this helps.

Thank you it just looks like my set screw came loose. I am sure it is a metric allen key, but easy fix.
