I stayed at Jellystone. Pretty close to what you want to see.

We stayed at the Nashville KOA one of the nicest campgrounds we have been too. Highly recommend. Close to downtown and they have a shuttle that runs every hour.

Thanks.
Jellystone is now Nashville RV Resort and Cabins. It is on Music Valley Drive, just down from the KOA. I have stayed at both and enjoyed them. Both have shuttles that run downtown, think it is 10.00 round trip.

Nashville Campgrounds

We have stayed at Two Rivers Campground, which is very near Grand Ole Opry. Very nice camp sites rated 8.5/10/9 by Good Sam. My wife checked with the concierge there and scored two tickets to the Opry that Friday night!! Fantastic entertainment even if you're not into Country Music!! There are no "bad" seats in that Concert Hall.

Bledsoe State Park is beautiful. The sites are level and mostly pull through,

May not be close enough for you or what you're looking for, but:

Last summer we stayed at Texas T GC in Cornersville, TN, which is about an hour south of Nashville on I-65 at Rte 129. Very basic - full hookups, but no frills (no pool, game room, etc). Don't really recall seeing a playground, but they claim they have one.

All pull thru sites except for one or two.

Next to the interstate, but otherwise very quiet place.

Texas T Campground in Tennessee

I agree have stayed there, also the shuttle was free when I was there, then buy a trolly pass downtown get off and on as much as you want, hardly any parking there, if you do find a spot the price is crazy like 25.00 bucks an hour. So when you pick a park make sure they have a shuttle, great place to go...

Two years ago we stayed in the Jellystone park because they honored Passport America. Summer rates at KOA was 120.00 a day. 60.00 a day at Jellystone park. I would call and see if they still take Passport America . It is less than 50.00 a year to join if you are not a member already.

Nashville

Last October, we stayed at the KOA north of Nashville in a Forester 3171 DS. Nice place and they had a free shuttle (free will offering) to the city's tourist area.
Their listing at that time did not mention Propane, but they had a tank when we arrived
