All packed and ready to head south...but didn’t leave soon enough! Making the best of it tho! As long as we don’t get more white stuff should be on the beach in 4 days.

I have faith you will get south

Why don't you stay? Although this year has been a doozy of a winter in our area. I'm getting a bit tired of slogging through snow. If it weren't for work, kids school, etc, I'm tempted to pack up and head to the coast also.

All the second picture needs is a couple of pink Flamingo's standing in the snow.

The "Frozen Daiquiris" should stay frozen longer too.

I didn't see any beach toys, nor palm trees! Could we have a picture of the waves crashing in? I'd like to have that FLA feeling.

Didn’t leave soon enough

You know they advise to lower your speed. Help me out and drag your feet I am about a week behind you and that will help me. And yes my DW has the pink flamingo’s.

That is too funny! Hopefully the weather forecast is wrong because the weather south of you doesn't look good.
Safe travels.

Perfect!

The only thing missing is the campfire. Or is it under all of that white stuff?

Better hurry! Read a headline today that they are considering a travel ban to/from Florida due to one of the new strains of Covid that came from the UK, Brazil, and/or South Africa.

Safe travels.
We live in central Florida, and as of tomorrow, on Friday the whole weekend here will be a washout of thunderstorms and possible flooding in certain low lying areas. Even Sunday's Daytona 500 might be called off (speculation on my part) because the forecast calls for 100 p/c chance of storms. We had tornado watches throughout the weekend last weekend. Even the weekdays following Sunday don't look promising either. You can always Google the places you want to go to for looking at the upcoming weather forecast as to when you actually want to go. Tread lightly and have fun!!!

Guess we can’t fly south til there is no snow on the flamingo
[emoji724]❄️🦩

2 more inches last night!

Need [emoji274][emoji905][emoji907]

We saw the forecast, sitting in the camper all week in the rain is still better than snow blowing!

On the bright side......your rig looks amazingly clean.
And .....no bugs either.

The high yesterday in Cutbank, MT was -20 F. The low was -38. Air temp not wind chill. Sometimes getting away from winter is a great idea. I usually go to Death Valley, but not now.

Wow! I follow weather out there as well. We will be a campground host at GNP in May. This sent chills!

There is a guy in my neighborhood... New Hampshire... who has about a dozen pink flamingos on his lawn in the summer. They move around occasionally, when he mows. Everybody keeps an eye on them, or at least we do!

This time of year, there are half dozen or so penguins in place of the flamingos who presumably went south already! But I am pretty sure they will be back in a couple of months.

OP, great pics! GL with the trip south, wish we were going but I am stuck in kitchen remodeling for the foreseeable future.

Depending on where you were heading to in the south you might be happy you did not come too soon. Since the coldest month of the year is usually January and we had not even had a light freeze I was rather pleased.

Then, of course, this blast of Arctic air descended on the South and even here in S Louisiana we have had a hard freeze for the past 4 nights in a row and 3 days in which it never got above freezing even during the day.
