Expensive Campgrounds
I was checking out the Summer rates at a local Southern CA resort campground (Newport Dunes) and I never realized how expensive it is to stay there…. Plus additional fee’s….Geez almost $500 per night for a Supersite…I think I’m going to take a drive over there and see how super it is.

Are they out of their minds? Or is it only for the rich and famous.

They'll never let you in unless you take the limo.

Rottweilers not permitted.
I have a female Rotty that we got from the local shelter and she is the most timid dog we've ever had. We don't know her history but don't think it was a good one. Whenever someone even raises their voice she ducks down and leaves the room.
When we first got her she actually got scared and peed a few times.
Such a horrible and vicious dog...

Site size is 35’X 45′ - there's nothing super about that?! I'd be parking my truck on the lot in front of my camper at 45' in length. And then I wouldn't have a site to enjoy...

Yet another reason I do not like So.Cal....used to be a good place to live...then just a good place to visit...now just a good place to stay away from. And this is from a native who left long ago and never looked back.
Twas a great state....decades ago...many decades ago.
$350.00 a night..get outa here...plus paying double for diesel and taxes....blehhh!!!

At first I thought that this must be a weekly rate. Man, do I feel dumb now for complaining about a couple of our local campgrounds creeping up to around $100 a night for their premium sites.
I would never pay over $300 a night for a campsite. Wow!

Might just as well get ya a hotel room for that kind of money. Be a cold day in H before I'd pay to stay there. Later RJD

Central and Northern California are pretty bad, too. I have decided to give up on KOA due to the rising prices. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my site at a resort in Big Bear Lake at the end of June will be $55/night for a waterfront site. The FROG Rally in Hemet is in the $40 range.

Y'all DO realize, right, that COE campgrounds with a Sr. Access Pass are about $9-$12 a night, right????????

We found a gem of a campsite. Lake Powell - Page Campground at Page AZ. Only stayed there one night May 2 but it was only 27.oo a night plus they gave a GS 10% discount for full hookups. the sites were all gravel pretty level and they had a heated indoor pool. It is the closet campground to Antelope Canyon,
