Finding RV Parks

Hi All,

I have been pulling my fifth wheel around the country for work almost a year now. I go from construction site to construction site every four months. I would like to know if there is an app that automatically finds rv parks along your route. For example: I am leaving Portage IN this weekend headed for home in Ruskin FL. It is a two day trip for me. I would like to stop at a RV park approximately half way. Driving around 600 miles/8hrs per day.

Wow. 600 miles in 8 hours? Unless my math is wrong, that is 75mph - - without even factoring in fuel stops/rest stops. Too fast for me.

To your question, RV Life Trip Wizard can do what you want. You set your basic input - things like speed you want to travel, fuel tank size, mpg expected, etc and then you can opt for driving hours per day or low/mid/high mileage per day. The map then shows distances (rings on the map). It will show just about any kind of campground you want - - - private, KOA, BLM, State, County, and on and on. Not free but a good program.

If you are pushing that hard and driving that far/fast why waste 20-80$ a night for a campsite. Truckstop/rest area/Walmart parking lot has your quick sleep needs.

I don't post much, just here to learn but yall might want to go back to original post and rethink your math. Most on here are asking for help, insight, suggestions, not a smart ass reply. Just my .02$

We like RVParky to find rv parks, stores and gas stations. You can input the city and with their 'filter' select what you want to see.
Garmin will also find rv parks, but that works better when you're near your destination.
And there's always Google Maps. Just type in 'camping near........' and it will give you results. The best thing about Google Maps is the ability to see the campground with the satellite option and it will give you the layout of the campground.....unless it's covered with trees, of course.

Pretty sure they might have meant 600 miles OR 8 hrs per day.
