Lake of the Woods MN

Am trying to plan a trip around the northern part of MN this summer. I need alittle help on a few of the parks around Baudette and Warroad. Have looked at woodalls and rvparkreviews for info but they seem to come up short. Would like info on Lake of the Woods Campground in Baudette and the Wigwam Restort in Baudette. Moving up the road to Warroad there are two Birchridge and Springsteel. If anyone can shed some light on these. Thanks

Since you stated you didn't find anything at campgroundreviews.com, please add your review after you have been there. I use that site a lot and someday we will get to MN so it might come in handy in the future.

There are a few guys on here from around that area. Hopefully they will add some insight soon.

I have not visited this area but I have a coworker that goes there often. In fact he will be at Wigwam next weekend. Those campgrounds as well as most in the area are really geared toward the fishermen and their boats. Don't expect any beaches, etc. But if that's your purpose he recommends Wigwam since it's right at the mouth of the Rainy River as it joins Lake of the Woods. It's 1 of 2 places on Lake of the Woods he returns to yearly.

He also mentioned Zippel Bay State Park which is close and has a beach but they do not have hookups.

The Lake of Woods Campground is a good place for visit. It is located in Baudette in Minnesota. It is a lovely campground and resort for camping and other activities like fishing, kayaking, canoeing and sailing. The place is so peaceful and refreshing for visitors to stay and a relaxing accommodation.
