Memorial Day Weekend 2008 - Your Plans?
I started this thread last year too, so where is everyone
going this Memorial Day weekend?
(I've been on this forum a year already?)
Well, as for my plans we are camping at
Camp Lord Willing. Same as last year
they have full hook up so I can de-winterize
while I am there.
Staying Saturday, Sunday, and Monday however,
I have to work afternoons during this period.
Hubby and the kids get to play without me.
CLW is also doing a potluck on Sunday Evening
free of charge just bring a dish to pass.
Nina

I am going to pull the camper to a friend's cabin on the lake. They had a camper at one time and set up full-hookup capability there so I am going to meet them there on Friday!!! Bonus... it is only 10 minutes from my house but secluded enough to feel like I am away from home. Also, my neice has her dance recital Friday night so I get to camp and see my only neice dance. Life is a blessing.

We are going to Manatee Springs state park in central/gulf side of Florida, about 1 or 2 miles from the mouth of the Suwannee river, where that empties into the Gulf of Mexico. We'll bring our inflatable kayak, and our mask, snorkels, and fins to swim in the crystal clear springs. This is a first magnitude spring, meaning it puts out over 100,000 gallons of water daily. We live in Jax.,so it's almost 100 miles one way for us. We can't wait! Randy P.S. t's been averaging 85 degree days in Fla.!!

I've extended my Memorial Day Weekend to 7 days...5 of which we'll host guests at the seasonal lot. (hopefully...modifying the deck!)
Let's not forget the meaning of Memorial Day...whatever your plans are. I encourage everyone to honor those that gave all...so the world could be a safer place. If you've never been to a cemetery on Memorial Day, or heard the thunder of a 21 gun salute...followed by Taps...I encourage you to go.
Have a happy, SAFE Memorial Day weekend campers!

We will finish up getting the house, yard and garden ready for summer. Then when the trailer gets here in July...party party party!
Oh, yeah, might scrounge up camping stuff and finish up the delivery trip planning!

Mom and Dad sold the place I grew up with the 3 acre yard and are moving around the corner to a new house that it will take longer to get the mower out and start it than it will to cut the yard.
I am helping them move starting Wednesday.
So my camping will be in the side yard for sure.
