Please Be Careful

I just got word that a friend of mine was killed in a head on crash while towing his travel trailer through Texas. I figured he was about 40 miles up the road from where I am since they usually winter at Ft. Myers, but I guess they decided to look at Texas.

Driver crossed the line and hit him head on. Thankfully his wife is ok and already back home in IL. i looked at the picture in the article and couldn't even recognize his truck for a while.

I know some things can't be avoided, I try to stick to the interstate all I can but there were idiots all over it when I came back to florida Wednesday night/Thursday morning.

Sometimes careful isn't enough. Wow! So sad.

You have to drive with Faith...........Faith that folks will stay in their lane, etc. Sometimes that fails you.

I can't imagine what caused this. I'd bet a goodly sum it has to do with a cell phone though.

Not necessarily caused by cell phone use. I was witness to a head on collision where the car was weaving back and forth across the road. Struck a dump truck sitting in the road side ditch. The news report put the blame on the truck driver and it turned out the car driver had a massive heart attack about a 3/4 mile back. Her foot was still on the throttle and was going 25 mph at the time of impact. I was the 3rd vehicle behind her.
