So Cal to UT, CO, WY, SD

Was pretty difficult to plan this trip on such short notice ( less than a week ) but we've got the trip planned for the end of June. Roughly 3 weeks. Going to be a challenge with a 12, 11, 3 year old and 3 month old but my wife and I are seasoned campers and like a challenge! Take a look and let me know what you think!

Couple of things.
Leaving Moab take Highway 128. It will follow the river through some beautiful scenery and hook up with I-70 again.
In SD and Black Hills you may as well go north from Hot Springs to Custer and on north catching I-90 at Rapid City then west to Devils Tower.
You don't say what your rig is but that Hwy 14 over the Big Horns is a steep hard pull and a steep downgrade on the other side. Most folks take Hwy 16 out of Buffalo as it is an easier grade.

That's a long run between Devils Tower and Cody as going over the top of the Big Horns is slow going both up and down. Weekends that road is crowded as people from all over SE MT and Wy head up there to cool off and ride atv's. Bear Lodge does have an RV park but if you want to stay there make sure you get reservations.
I grew up in that country and have been al over those mountains.

Thanks for the info! We typically average our days around 50 miles an hour. Sometimes I'm slower, sometime I'm faster. We've got a local 4 day trip planned next week and we're going to see how it is with all the kids and the space.
