South jersey to Maine

Hey looking for a nice route from
South jersey to Maine by passing NY crap Any suggestions I would be thankful As of now I’m doing 95 to 287 to 87 to 84 to avoid NY

you mean to avoid 'NY CITY'...
as it'd be hard to go any route and avoid the whole state of NY.... : )

I Drove i84 through new york. Worst road I have ever drove on with rv. July 2019. I am from Louisiana.

You didn't state (or maybe I missed it) if you were driving in a car or had an RV. If via RV, make sure that whatever route you take that you check for bridge clearances. On my recent journey to Mass from NC, I was brought via NYC and on roads where bridges were 10 foot high or maybe even less. Fine with a car but for an RV it would have created trouble with a capital T.

I can't imagine bypassing NY state. Years of driving up to VT always had me driving up Thru way/Northway at least. It's not bad. 287N in NJ up into NY. Avoid CT like the plague.

We are from SJ and we take the long way up 87 and across 90.
We leave SJ at 6pm and stay at truck stop or Walmart near 87. Then head to Maine in the morning.
