Things you have lost

Just a curious question for everybody, but what are some things that you have lost on the road or otherwise.
We have lost a bathroom vent cover on the road in West NM. A gas can and generator cover in West AL. Seems we lose everything in the west part of a state. I'm not sure how we get anywhere by not going through the western part of a state.

Of all the things that I've ever lost, I miss my mind the most.

Oh yeah. I knew there was a third item. I lost the little rubber plug thing that covers the manual crank hole on the electric tongue jack. I need to check all my lids better.

The back bumper end caps. Why isn't there a retainer clip on those things?

You can buy better bumper caps and they aren't all that expensive.

Matter of fact, mine always seems to 'fall out' while the trailer(s) were sitting at the dealership getting warranty repairs.

And, of course, the dealership in not responsible for lost items on their lot.

Hhhhmmmmmmmmm.........

I bought some hinged rear bumper caps that are attached to the bumper so they can't fall off.

We lost a bag of Lynx Levelers and a couple of plastic chocks one time when we forgot to lock one of our storage compartments on our first pop-up.

Had a pretty good idea where they fell out at but when we went back to look for them, they were already gone.

1-n nice locks (at least one left on the truck's bed rail when I left a campsite)
Hose "Y" (or 2) left on spigot (not spiket)
1/4" ratchet left in the grass when I dismantled my DirecTV antenna
Valve caps
Clothes line
cedar wedge block/ramp for changing tires (relatives were following and "thought we saw something fall off but weren't sure it was yours" so they didn't tell me until we stopped 30 miles up the road - what? neither cell phone worked?)

various and sundry other items I've yet to miss

I lost all my fishing tackle in Myrtle Beach at the 2nd Ave pier while camping down the street. Does that count?
All from getting stuck. Never fish there again

On a trip this last May I lost some weight. Does that count?

My problem when on the road is not so much losing things as it is gaining things. I always seem to come home with more stuff in the trailer than I left with.

Indeed... except this has been over 11-12 years. Your campsite fees would add up to more than you could pick up behind me! Losing all this stuff has been traumatic enough that I can develop this list. Uncle G tried to drive off without his DW's granny tricycle but a neighboring camper flagged him down.

Many years ago I used to snag fish at the local spillway(dam for some). I was 15 YO or so... I had purchased snagging hooks and weights(they were expensive 4-6 OZ weights and large treble hooks) for a kid doing odd jobs for money. We left fishing at night as my mother and I did many nights(she watched and I fished) Miss and love you Mom. When we packed up I must have left my box...it prolly had at least $100 worth of stuff in there... of course it was gone when I figured it out an no one knew anything about it.

Spare tire cover. Lost a few tools I forgot on the rear bumper. That being said have found a few things also Horseshoes, crab traps, fishing poles, and 1 time a whole tent. Usually found a few miles from campground on the side of the road when somebody lost it leaving the campground have taken a few thing to the office for return to the owners. like watches, rings, cell phones etc.

Unfortunately I can remember a time when I lost my patience while trying to back into an extremely tight site.
