We are soooo ready to get outta here!

Only 1 more day and we leave Baltimore MD, heading for some warmer climate down to Key West, FL.
We are heading down I85 instead of I95, and going to head to Pensacola, Fl and then wrap around the west gulf coast of FL first. Then Naples, Key Largo,

Key West for 6 days.
On our way home, we'll take the faster way up I95 north.

Can't wait!

South FL a little cool today but still shorts and sandals with a long sleeve shirt. Have a safe trip and enjoy the Keys. Where are you staying in Key West?

We are staying at Blue Water Key Resort for 6 nights, right on the water.

2 days before that, we stay at Point of View, Key Largo, right on the gulf side.

Well it looks like we dodged a bullet and missed the big snow storm of the NE here in Baltimore.
Thank God!
I was hoping not to have to travel south for a little bit with snow on the roof...
What little snow we got, should be melted by tomorrow.

Glad to hear that you got away before the storm. It looks wild! The trip looks exciting. We are heading to Florida in March but not with a trailer. We will be going to Key West. Maybe next year with our new trailer. Let us know how the trip goes.

our boy is in florida for a few months for training with the army golden knights, and the daughter-in-law and kids went down to spend some time there as well, her birthday was saturday, we called her to wish her a HBD and she said the were at a rock crab festival, she told my DW to tell me they were enjoying the crab and weather there, I told the DW to tell her just to shut up,lol, and quit rubbing it in

I see. You did dodge the bullet. The 'Storm of the Century' wasn't as bad as advertised. Have a great trip. So envious.

Counting down the days until my boys and I head to Daytona for Bike Week. Leaving PA on Friday, 3/6 and coming back the following Saturday/Sunday. Did you mean you're heading down I-81? I don't know of an I-85 around these parts...? If yes, I agree, that's the way we're heading. FL is so far west of us here in the northeast, so I-81 just makes sense, then factor in the whole "avoiding Philly-Wilmington-Newark-Baltimore-DC-Richmond" factor, and I-81 sounds even better than I-95. Have a great trip!

EDIT: it looks like I-85 is already on the south side of Richmond, so you may be starting from a point much farther south than I am. I'd try to avoid I-95 through all of the above spots though, if you can. Good luck!
