1st Camper

I retired during C19. I felt kind of lost since I'd never married or had children (that I know of) until I learned of kayak fishing. That really struck a chord with me and I bought one.

I hadn't planned on buying a travel trailer until next year and began looking around to see what was out there. Boy was I surprised at the costs in the secondary market. Went and spoke with the local RV dealer and learned why.... so I kept looking.

I found this on FB Marketplace for below NADA and snapped it up. It is in excellent condition. I only have a couple questions and I'll post them in the appropriate place (I hope).

kayak fishing
I canoe fished for a few years before I bought a 16' boat... lots of fun back 30 years ago...

I believe I would like to kayak fish now... they got some great outfits to accomplish this a little more safely then my canoe trips...

Good luck to you and happy camping

Apparently the OP decided to start a new thread, instead of finishing this one. Here's a link to his new thread which has RV information:

My apologies. I'm new to this particular bbs. In others that I've used when I input info in my profile, some of it became viewable to others. When I entered my make/model in the profile, I presumed that others would be able to see it. Either under my name when I post or by clicking my name and viewing my profile. That is why I didn't bother to mention that I purchased a 2012 8314BSS in excellent condition for $12.5k.

As far as deciding to start a new thread.... I made that decision before I posted here in the "welcome/intro" area. I wanted to post my questions in the appropriate area and, when I looked, "general" seemed to be the closest area to what I needed. I even mentioned that I would be posting in another area in my OP. There was nothing "apparent" about it.

I just looked at the public info on another member, I was correct. Clicking on my name and looking at my profile would have revealed my TT model, tow vehicle, and more.

You can also add that trailer information to a signature line, which is then displayed in every post...

I hope that you get your questions answered... and WELCOME

Not if you're using the FRF app or Tapatalk.

thanks for clearing that up

my eyes are at an age that does not allow me to comfortably view posts on my phone... so I always use the forum and a browser and a laptop...

I use a Android tablet but the app makes reading posts very easy, even on a cellphone.
I'm 67 and my eyes are so bad that they don't make a multifocal cataract implant strong enough for my eyes.
