I just picked up a new 2021 Cherokee Grey Wolf 25RRT last week after renting random toy haulers a couple times last summer. Iím planning on getting out on my dirt bike and mountain bike more often and at new zones all over Colorado and anything west.
Iím looking forward to learning from this community and sharing the modifications I have planned for my trailer.
Thanks for the responses! I just finished replacing the Lippert Insight backup camera with a backup camera from amazon that has way better range and a 7" LCD HD screen and a 2nd camera I plan to mount in the garage to keep an eye on my bikes while on bumping roads.
I also ordered an axle conversion kit for better clearance boondocking in areas like Taylor Park, CO.
I'm towing with a 2012 F-150 Lariat SuperCrew 3.5L Ecoboost and the Weigh Safe True Tow WDH. It felt great towing the trailer from Omaha to Denver other than the 6.9MPG.
This weekend I'm going 8 hours to south western Colorado with 2 dirt bikes and gear. It will be interesting to see how it tows over the mountain passes.
I've been eyeing the new F250/F350 Tremor Diesels as a potential new tow vehicle.
I donít think youíll have any issues with the mountains, just watch your trans temps. Weíre towing with a F150 diesel so our fuel economy is a little better @14.5mpg.
