2021 Sunseeker 2850SLE

We purchased the RV around November 1 and were told expected arrival in March. It did, and we drove 800+ miles to Ohio. LOVE the V8! first 500 miles computer said 6.9 mpg. By 1,000 was at 8.9mpg. Cruise set at 73 and frequent runs to 80mph following traffic. I have been a visitor here since September and learned a tremendous amount. I also appreciate the humor expressed here as well as the patience with some very obvious solutions. I'm off to forums regarding valve stem extensions and TPMS.

Welcome, and congratulations on your RV purchase!

When you do another trip, I’d be curious what the actual mpg is based on odometer and gas pump numbers, calculated over several gas tanks. On my vehicles, the dash display always overstates the mpg.

MPG

I'm curious as well. I had every intention of keeping gas receipts and calculating actual mileage, but travel interrupted my thoughts and plans. I hope the next few trips will allow actual calculation. At the 9mpg computer projections of mileage before refilling the tank seemed to be very close. My biggest challenge currently is to select valve stem extensions and a TPMS. I've been reading the forums for a few months and today discovered the current valve stems appear to be brass. Now to find the correct extensions and TPMS.

At 73-80 mph, there is no point in worrying about gas mileage.

x2. I had a friend ask why I didn't travel at 75 and my answer was... I could almost 'see' the gauge going down when I traveled at 75.

mileage over 70mph

traveling with my wifes 2 sisters, my concern was to make travel time as short as possible. I expect to travel around 65mph next trip and keep receipts to see actual performance. I am ecstatice with the new coach and the V8 performance. My Dodge van with 27' travel trailer got 8-10mpg and I'll be very happy with this rig if the mileage is similar. My current pursuit is for extended valve stems and TPMS. Next will be a toad.
