A Frame Newbie
Hello, I have owned pop-ups, and a small travel trailer before, but this is my first A-Frame and I couldn't be more excited. I am picking it up, 1300 miles away on the 16th of August. I purchased a 2021 Rockwood A213HW. I am so excited to take this baby all over the country. I am sure I have plenty to learn. Happy camping,
Cathy

Congrats!
Been enjoying our A213HW since 2016.
As Bikendan said: check out the A-frame forum. Lots of good information and advice. But then again, I post there so it's not all good.

How is the comfort of the twin mattresses?
So do I need some kind of memory foam topper for the twin mattresses? Also where do you buy sheets?

Hopefully mods will move this to the A-frame section.
We needed a foam topper for all our A-frame mattresses for decent sleeping. We use 3" toppers, which can stay in place when the camper is folded down. After reading about it somewhere, we cut foam toppers to fit with an electric carving knife from Salvation Army or Goodwill. Works great.
As for sheets, we use a regular twin sheet on top and just tuck them way under. We have thin blankets - not much more than a sheet - for summer, and down blankets for winter. The down blankets are really great in the winter - we keep heat down to 58 deg at night.
I highly recommend re-routing the front Cool Cat vent to the front of the port-side bed. It really helps keep temps even throughout. A 3" duct will fit over the top of the drawer under the bed. I did have to relocate the water pump switch slightly. There's a thread on this in the A-frame section.
Welcome to the wonderful world of A-frames.

Thanks, Fred,
I am so excited!! I just made my first campground reservation for Acadia NP! I can't wait to pick up my little guy <3 I will do that with the memory foam toppers, I'll even check out my local goodwill, what a great idea
