About to retire and want to camp more.

My wife and I aren't new to RVing, but I will be retiring at the end of the year and we want to spend more time camping. In the past, we're pretty fair-weather campers, not getting out in the summer too much, but love the fall and spring in East Texas. We just bought a Grey Wolf 26RL and can't wait to get started.

Thanks for having us!

Congrats. We retired a year ago and have been loving it so far. We've done, Caddo, Tyler, Dangerfield, Tawakoni, Galveston and just got back today from Surfside. Completed a 32 night trip in May/June that went through, Rushmore, Custer, Devils Monument, Glacier, Yellowstone, Salt Lake City and Colorado. Heading out in Sept for the F.R.O.G. rally that goes through the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Winslow and the Albuquerque balloon festival.

Enjoy your travels and retirement.

I would say to just get out there and do it. We have been retired four years now. We bought a trailer last summer and did our first snow bird trip over the winter. We spent some time in the Great State of Texas and had a fantastic time. We visited Hill Country last winter. We plan to do that again this winter and see other areas of Texas as well. We also are long time campers and had been without an RV for about 13 years. We just decided this was the best way to see the country.

Texas is a country unto itself.... Great place. Now retiring, it is time to see the rest of the country on an extended time frame. Do some research ahead of time and make reservations.

Be safe, plan ahead, take your time and enjoy your retirement.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your up coming retirement. Get out no matter what time of the year it is. You can always travel north in summer to cooler temps. Later RJD

Welcome from just down the road a bit. I keep trying to get up to the Sam Rayburn area, but always seem to get side-tracked. Some day. Glad to have you aboard, and hope to see you down the road!
