Welcome from the NE corner of the Bayou. I was close to your parts yesterday, teaching #1 son to drive.

Is this your first camper?

No, this will be our 6th and maybe last camper. We purchased a 2017 Jayco Expandable (our first new camper) and thought it was the last one but after spending a week in it at below freezing temps we realized that it was a warm weather camper. We also realized that we are too old to climb in and out of the bed (over one another). Sadly we lost money on the trade but we are excited to see how this new trailer fits us. My wife is retired and I will retire in a few years so we are getting ready for all that freedom. We talked about keeping the Jayco till I retire but after looking at the value of the Jayco (how much it would deprecate over the next 3 years) and the ever rising cost of everything including new trailers we figured the longer we waited the more money we would end up in a difference. We have not spent the night in the Wildwood yet but we plan to this weekend.

Welcome to FRF!

We also are previous hybrid owners.

Bought ours in our 50s and had it for over 10 years.
We retired 3 years ago and decided that a regular TT fit our retirement better.

The wife misses the openness of the hybrid and I miss sleeping under canvas. But our new TT works for our 2 month trips during this time of the year, going from place to place.

Sounds like you didn't use Popup Gizmos and Reflectix to keep the hybrid warmer.
We've camped in snow with our hybrid and we never had any problem keeping our old hybrid warm with adding these items.

No we didn't use Popup Gizmos and Reflectix as we just had not ordered them. We only had the expandable about 6 months. When we bought it we didn't have anything to pull a TT so we went with the expandable. Since then I bought a F150 and so we went with a larger TT with a slide and it has 2 recliners. I think we will be much happier.
