Am I in the right place - at least marginally?

First post. I invite you to tell me the answer.

It's my understanding that one of the Americana lines (fifth wheeler) is a somewhat customized or "custom-outfitted" model of the Forest River Cardinal - that is produced for Americana - yes?

So, I'm just wondering if this will be a place where I can ask questions.

I realize that there will be some things that don't apply.

We bought a used 2008 (one-owner) fifth wheeler that looks well taken care of, was kept inside, all maintenance records with it. It has virtually all of the upgrades that were available. We've taken three short trips but hope to do a series of longer trips at some point.

Any who - nice to meet you all...!

Welcome to the Forest River Forum. I believe you are 100% in your assumption that the Americana RV was custom built at the Cardinal factory. I don’t remember if it was last year or the year before when there was an Americana RV at the FROG (Forest River Owners’ Group) rally in Goshen, IN. Since only Forest River rigs are allowed at the FROG rally then I guess you rig is a Forest River product by default.

Feel free to ask your questions but you already know we may or may not have a correct answer for you. The good thing is many of the components (fridge, A/C, furnace, etc.) are the same as the Cardinals.
