BBQ Mounting Rail

Where can I mount an outisde BBQ Mounting Rail on my Surveyor SV264?

Can we talk you out it? Do a search you will find a number of discussions on the pro's & cons. If you do install one, I'd suggest it be somewhere out from under the awning. Have you considered a bumper mount that swings out away from the TT?
I do not have Surveyor so I do not know the best place for a mount, however our last two TT had the mount and we never used it for two reasons, under the awning and did not want the heat and smoke getting on it, second was the heat relative to the side of the camper just didn't feel it was the best thing for it. Did make a good small table mount though.

Good grief...again? I used my RVQ all the time...for 5 years I owned the trailer. Somewhere like 4 - 8 trips a year...or so. Under the awning, with the windows open, all the time. Never an issue. No stained awning, no grease on the walls, no camper meltdown. It will work fine. You might want to try Camping World (RV Supplies, RV Accessories & RV Parts for Motorhomes, Campers, Travel Trailers & 5th Wheel Campers - fifth wheel camper - Camping World) or PPL motorhomes (Used RVs, Motorhomes, and Consigned sales - PPL Motor Homes).

I am new to the forum, so forgive my ignorance about any problems, but we have had our Rockwood for 5 years and use the outside BBQ all the time and love it! We have never had a problem with it.

How many folks have said they have stain issues on the awning or melted sidewalls for the RVQ and similar?
Ours is mounted under the kitchen window in the middle of the awning. NEVER a problem!

I did use mine under the awning on my Rockwood a few times without any problems. However, the one that came with my LaCrosse had warning stickers not to use it under the awning.

You could try calling the factory and asking them.

I have an SV264 and use my RVQ all the time. The last trailer I had had blocking in the wall that allowed me to attach the rail easily but the SV264 did not.

I mounted the rail directly opposite the vanity in the washroom. This allowed me to drill holes completely through the outside into the cabinet under the vanity and attach the rail with stainless still bolts and large fender washers inside. I would post pictures but there is still approximatly 8 feet of snow around my trailer. Spring has not sprung here yet.

The day your RVQ catches fire due to not cleaning the grease build up frequently enough you will be glad it was not mounted against the sidewall of your trailer. Ask me how I know and it was only the 4th time I used it.

dezolen...not trying to start a fight here...there is a HUGE difference in allowing the grease to build up and simply using it under the awning.
Which thinking about it...your post reminds us to be on the lookout for a lot of grease when cooking certain foods.

If there is anything more sure to lure out the "weight police" by asking "Will my truck tow XXXX ?", it's dragging out the "RVQ Police" by asking "Can I use my RVQ under the awning ?" LOL

Anyway back to origional question.... That how I installed the RVQ rail on my SV264 and it works fine. Again all I need is for the snow to melt!!!!

Just for clarification, our first camper came with a RVQ. We used it and did not have any problems, but it was very close to the trailer wall and I worried about damage from the heat, although no problems materialaized. It was also very difficult to clean because it had no grease trap. My comments about current satisfaction is in regard to the Sidekick BBQ which we are currently using. It sets farther away from the trailer than the RVQ did and has a grease trap, so it is easier to keep the grease from building up.
