Black water tank

bought a 2003 Salem 32 ft trailer in April... no instruction manual and pretty naive when it comes to trailers..... we park it for the season in one park and have plastic piping going into ground/sewer...question... how do you empty tank?, is there a lever? How long before it fills up before you pull lever, how can you tell?-- any advice appreciated.. thanks!!

should be a lever to pull for all your tanks .
black should be almost full before dumping.
dump black water first then grey water behind it to flush the line .

John,
Open the black first and let drain totaly then shut and open the grey and let it drain fully . do not leave black tank dry tho you should always add a few gallons of water along with water softner crystals and laundry detergent. "geo-method"

You should have some type of gauge panel inside your unit that you have to push a button to see how full your tanks are .
With that being said do not rely on the guages to be very accurate .
use it as a guide only . As you camp more you find how long it takes to be "full"

hose in thetford toilet

so I bought wand to clean out tank--- I have a toilet where you pull back two levers to flush(white and grey), and then one lever to fill--

question..when I put hose in with wand--how can I keep open without holding lever--i.e keep opening at toilet open?

Luckily mine just has a foot pedal.
However, this may just be the thing for you...
