Blythe Island Regional Park

Has anyone stayed at Blythe Island Regional Park in 6616 Blythe Island Hwy, Brunswick, Georgia 31523? We are planning to overnight there on our way from Myrtle Beach to Orlando.

We stayed there in November 2009. (We had a Gulfstream at that time). I remember the CG was not right off I95 but with the GPS we found it easily. The park (at that time of year) had very few campers. The bathroom and facilities were older but were clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We (like you) went for an overnight stay on our way to Florida. We were happy with our choice.

Here are 2 pics that I could find:

Thanks for the reply. We just need a good place for an overnight that is clean and safe. Sounds like this meets the bill.

You'll be fine for an overnight stop.

We live about 1hr west of there, been out for day trips, not camping but always do a drive thru in campground section. Entire area is sand, roads and campsites but they do have a small section of concrete by the picnic table.
Sites very wooded and private, pull thru's can be a little snug but saw all size 5'vers and motorhomes in the spots, just need to negotiate your rig for it's needs.
Quiet area and campsites are far enough away from day use and boat ramps areas, no bother.

We've had family gatherings at the day use areas. I too drove through the CG and found it inviting. Just have to convince the wife the next time we travel to Brunswick. She keeps telling me that she wants a nice hotel room after a day out on the beach and shopping. :-(
