Bought a Surveyor 235RS last week. New to hard sided campers.

Hi. I'm lugoismad. I suppose my wife will be along shortly, she said she'd made an account here as well.

We live in Southern Ohio, with our dog, cat and twin 5 year old girls.

Last Friday I went to a local RV dealer that was running a $10 a tank propane fill up special....and we came home with a camper.

We started out in 2014 with a 1986 Rockwood XL Popup camper that I bought for $400. It was a heap of junk.

But after months of work in my garage, I managed to make it a darn nice little camper.

But we quickly realized that 2 double beds was not enough for a family of four. Especially since our girls don't like sharing a bed.

So after 2 trips in it, we decided to upgrade.

So, we got a 2000 Damon Camplite with a slide out dinette.

We've been rocking that for 2 years now and having a lot of fun. Just this June we did a 6 night trip to Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and back.

We weren't looking to upgrade our camper...but it was too good of a deal to pass up. 2007 235RS, they had it listed for $10,000, the sales lady dropped to $6900 immediately. I told her I was firm at $5k, and without any argument, they actually took it!

Nothing wrong with it at all besides a little bit of spongy floor that I'll need to fix this winter.

The wife is super stoked about having a toilet, an oven and a microwave! And we have a freezer! Oh, and heat! So we can stretch out camping season more.
