Campers Howdie from Michigan

Hello everyone, and thanks for letting me join.

I'm new to the world of Pop Ups, but not to camping. A week ago I became the 3rd owner of a 2003 Rockwood and am excited to learn all about it.

Im taking it to the dealership, where the original owner purchased it, to have it checked over and a crash course on operation and maintenance. The dealership doesn't clean the canvas (inside or out) so im looking for help with what the preferred cleaner is for vinyl & canvas are and what's the preferred water repellant used on the canvas & how often?

Also, the original owner had the pop up parked under a pine tree when it was up for sale, the family I bought it from never tried to remove the pine sap from the sleeper ends of the canvas, sure could use some suggestions as to what's a good way to clean it off and if I will need to put water repellant on the areas I clean.

I have a camping trip planned to the Petosky, MI area with a daughter & her family in late August, so I have lots of time to clean & practice setting up and putting down. Any tips or hints will be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks much and Happy Camping,
Kathy

If the previous owners hadn't done the space blanket (Pugs) and Reflectix mods you might want to consider doing them. Both will help with interior temperature when using the furnace or AC. Plus the space blankets will help keep the tent end roofs cleaner too.
