Coachmen owner

We just bought a coachmen and our hot water will only work on gas and not Electric won't work any suggestions?

A new rig or used? In either case, if the water heater electric is turned on before the water heater is filled with water, the electric element will burn out. You can also check the fuses and circuit breakers in case they've tripped or burned out.

If it's new, take it back to the dealer to have it checked out in case there is another problem.

It would help if you posted year and model number of RV. Is it a motorhome, travel trailer, popup, 5th wheel?
And are you sure it has an electric side? Post make and model number of the WH also.
Only providing "Coachmen" isn't enough information.
