Smile Converter location

Does anyone know where the converter is located on a Cedar Creek Cottage? We have a 2019 40CRS. Owner’s manual is not specific to our model.

Thanks in advance.

They are usually in the area of the fuse/breaker panel (power panel). There are two types of converters, integrated with the power panel and completely separate.
So look behind the power panel and in adjacent compartments for the separate kind.

They have a cooling fan that will run based on the temperature in the unit.

You can try to listen for it. Turn any noise makers off in the trailer and let it get warm inside. Ours is just loud enough to hear when running.

Or you can turn on all the lights, both inside and out, along with the stereo and vent fan. That will cause the converter to go into a higher charge mode and the fan will run faster causing more noise.

We have a 2015 forest River vengeance Our lights went dim, then out. Maybe the converter? Does anyone know where it is and what it looks like?

Read the above thread and look at the link in #3. Even if someone has the exact same model RV as you, it doesn't mean everything is in the same place. Follow the advice above, do some looking behind panels, in cubbies, and I'm sure you will find it.

Tbere are several models. Go to this website for pictures. Also this is a great company to use to buy a new one or just get advice. Randy and his crew are top notch. https://www.bestconverter.com/
