No. The refrigerator doesn't cool enough or it freezes. Also, it runs off of DC only and it doesn't matter what mode we set it at "which should just be Auto" per our last 3 RV's with Dometic appliances. The A/C and LP kicks back to DC. The fan runs by DC only non-stop until the batteries go dead when dry camping. Of course plugged in the battery won't go dead, but the fan stays on non stop.
It was explained by Dometic in 2016 and finally in 2017 gave us a reference # for the dealership (3rd trip for the same problem), that we needed to replace the Thermostat and the actual board could be defective, the fan(s) shouldn't kick on and stay on unless the enclosure reaches over 150 degrees (their words). Also, we turn on our battery, open the RV and the fan is going without turning the power on to the refrigerator. We took it back to the dealership who said they fixed the problem. But, to date the problem hasn't been fixed. All of this after we were advised our brand new battery was bad (we replaced). Then we were told we needed more than 1 battery (and so we added on).
Today, the RV shop on Dometic's list advised that there should be 2 fans (if there is 2 fans, we only here 1). We were advised that Dometic has to contact the MFG in China, We were advised what you reference as far as slide out/air flow problem (interesting since we've never had this issue before in our other RV's.
We live in Arizona so I would understand this if we were using in 100+ degrees. However, this is not the case. We are in low to mid 70's during the day and low to mid 40's during the night once the Phoenix temp hits 90 or so.
I do know that if we pull the outside panel off, there are several wire's that are just laying around capped off. Wondering if there is an electrical malfunction?
Thanks again
