Driving CA101 from San Fran to Oregon

Have any of you had any experience of driving the CA101 north from San Fran to the Oregon state line. We will be pulling a 37' 5th wheel with a F350sd.
How curvy is the road? The amount of traffic? Elevation changes?
Sharing your experience could either increase my confidence or have me rethink my routing.
We want to experience the redwoods and understand that section of the highway goes right through them.

From SF to the Oregon border it is an easy drive.

In my thread in the same subject, the consensus was that northbound is eminently doable with the occasional tight-ish curve

Yep, easy peasy.

Many not from the West Coast get 101 mixed up with Highway 1.
