Electric tongue moves but not with weight.

Friend retracted the electric tongue Jack too far in and it got stuck. I had heard warning that this would blow a fuse. It locked up, but it didn't blow the fuse. The button for the light works. Fuse looks ok, no discoloration. I manually extended it with no problem by using a tool through the top. Now the button will extend and retract the leg only when there's no weight on it/no resistance. Is there a reset button or something? Is there a pressure sensor that needs to be reset? Why would it go down, but then stop when it touches bottom? It, doesn't matter how far I need to extend or retract, it always stop when pressure/weight/resistance is applied. Likewise, using the electric button I can retract if there's no weight on it.
This is on a 2018 Rockwood mini lite.

Your battery might be weak, so make sure you are plug-in to shore power and check battery voltage to be above 12.6 volts.

Those jacks get their ground connection due to their mounting on the "A" frame. Not impossible to lose ground there or weak ground. Check with ohmmeter

Tore a gear loose maybe. Holding just enough that it will extend and retract without any pressure. Put the weight on it and it spins. Can you hear the motor run with the weight on it ? or is it dead when you push the button ?

Ding, ding, ding! this is my bet. You might get lucky and it just sheared a pin in the head and you can replace it.

Sounds like it's working, but it doesn't move.

Guess I'll take it apart and see what's inside. Some things I've read made it sound like once that happens it's ruined. My only hesitation is that in it's current state, I can put my cordless drill on it and get it down just as fast as I did with the motor working.
