First camper ok its a pop up

Hi all, picking up first one for us tomorrow hopefully. Rockwood HW277.

May be looking for some accessories that might be missing, need to go through tomorrow and check. Didn't see the mount for the outside grill I don't believe and the fan/light combos were missing and maybe one heated mattress control wasn't there.

I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions soon. We are planning on using it Monday (as we had a tent site originally reserved).

Thanks

Might be too late because you've already picked up your new rolling condo, but I would have the dealer put everything in writing items that are missing. Test everything during the walk-through, and don't be shy asking a lot of questions. When you get home or to your campsite, re-test everything. Do not be surprised if you find that the rig is not perfect. It's covered under warranty and I hope you are close to that dealership. Of course you can also depend on the forum members here to suggest a quick fix or so instead of waiting for weeks of warranty work turn around. Enjoy your camping!

We are here now getting ready to do the finance paperwork so I’ll have questions first. The exhaust fan wasn’t working they were supposed to look into that. Then a few of the accessories I didn’t see I’ll ask about.

Welcome to the forum. I started off with a Coleman pop up back in the 90's. I'd turn in the list of missing items to my dealer ASAP so there isn't any debate.

Ensure to PUT EVERYTHING IN WRITING. She said, he said, is useless when it comes to your end.
If they have a tech, have them take a look at it now. It might be just a loose wire connections or fuse? I would imagine that there would be a long wait to get an appt for any warranty work. Schedule now, you can always cancel later if folks here find a solution for the fan.

Yes tech already ensured the fan is working now. They are setting it up and will go inspect it soon.

Happily made it home with the trailer this evening. All accessories except the hanging wardrobe were there.

My quest tomorrow is to find an adapter for the grey water outlet. Wished they would have made the grey tank flush the black tank.

We bought a used 2021 rockwood hw 296 on Thursday, 06-24-21. Dealer said earlier, that we would need a different hitch than the one I have because it does have sway control, but on delivery day, they changed their opinion because the tow yoke is so short. I towed it with a 2019 ford max tow 3.5l ecoboost in tow/haul mode, after setting the brake controller to the correct number, with technician assistance.
This is our second folder, but the last rv we had was a 2005 wildcat 29rlbs 5th wheel. We swore we would never buy another rv, but we missed camping in our own place where we could take our dogs with us. I think we will enjoy our new pop up. I liked the feel of towing that 2 axle popup that did not sway and the truck engine did well.

Bought new popup in 2000. Upgraded to new 5th wheel in 2005. Quit camping in 2015. trade-in both rv and tow vehicle in 2019. We missed rv camping and opted to buy a used, much nicer than our first, popup in 2021.
Tow vehicle: 2019 f150 xlt-- 3.5 EB 4x4 crewcab, max tow package. RV: 2021 HW 296

yeah, I am looking at at using a y adapter on my black tank hose and one of those small hose connector caps on one of the ports. I am thinking I will use a piece of garden hose from the gray tank to the y adapter.

Very similar to the one we started with in the 80's!
