First Time Forest River Owners, from Ohio

Hello!
We have camped for the past 35 years (as a married couple) and like many have enjoyed multiple types of recreational vehicles. We have camped and owned tents, vans, popups, gas and diesel pusher motor homes. We have enjoyed and made memories from our trips around the country with each and every one of them. We retired our last motor coach in early 2014 when caring for my parents became a priority. Now, we are back "in the game" and decided for the first time to purchase a travel trailer. We ordered a 2016 Forest River Wildwood Heritage Glen 282RK and took delivery in June. We are new to the Forest River family and look forward to the adventures ahead of us. This forum seems like a wonderful place to find answers to just about any question one may have. We have a lot of reading to do!

Welcome to the forum, also from Ohio! There are lots of great people on the forum and you will find them helpful with any questions you may have, not that you are new but we all have questions right... Enjoy the new TT.

Welcome fellow Buckeyes. Hope you enjoy many wonderful years in your Heritage Glen. You are now members of "the best forum" on the Internet. You will not find a nicer group of people willing to help anywhere.

Welcome! Maggie Valley is a beautiful area, and that's a great time to be in the Smoky Mountains and on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Have a great trip.

Welcome to the forum and the FR family. Glade you could return to the road to adventures. You might even consider attending a FROG rally. Later RJD.

Welcome from NE Ohio!
We have the Hemisphere 282RK (same TT, different name) and are completely satisfied with it. Like you, 35+ years of backpacking, tent camping, pop-up. the 282's are great for 2, not too big, not too small. Just wish there was a bedroom slide to give a little more floor space.

While at Maggie Valley, head over to Asheville and check out Biltmore. You won't be disappointed

Thank you. Yes, we've been there. We have been in the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee during the fall since 2000. We have worked as camp hosts in both private campgrounds and in the Pisgah National Forest for most of the last 15 years. We absolutely love it there. It's also the perfect place to be able to ride our motorcycle which we bring along as well. The mountains are a magical place.

Pisgah is real nice, this past spring we stayed at Mama Gerties, just east of Asheville. It's a wonderful CG.
I hope you like your 282RK Heritage Glen

Welcome to the Forest River family of FROG's! We are also from Ohio (N.E.) and we are also 282RK owners! We purchased ours in Jan., 2014. Have traveled approx. 6000 miles so far, and are enjoying ourselves so much. We had a TT when our kids were small, but sold it about 20 years ago. We have been to 3 rally's thus far. Meeting fellow owners and campers who are the finest people in the world.

Hope to meet you at some point at a rally, or maybe just traveling down the highway!

Joe & Sandy
Retired and happy!
