First time owner - GeoPro 16BH

Hello! My name is Scott and my wife Rebecca and I are the proud new owners of a 2020 GeoPro 16BH.

We live in Parker, CO. This is the first camper we have ever owned, and first thing we have ever towed. Lot's of learning going on in this household at the moment.

We are starting from scratch, and received very little direction from the (out of state) dealer, and it doesn't seem the dealers in state have much interest in helping us out with an orientation, which has been disappointing, since we don't know what we are doing and are eager to learn.

Are there any other GeoPro owners located in CO? We would love to have someone to talk to that would be happy to answer questions. I figure we all had to start somewhere.

Thanks!

Scott

Welcome to the forum and the world of RVing. Congrats on your purchase of a

2020 GeoPro 16BH. You will find that if you did not purchase from a local dealer they are very hesitant to even do warrenty work. Not like car dealers. There are a lot of knowledgeable folks her to answer your questions. Enjoy and Later RJD

Many things are similar between different travel trailers. Try posting your questions here and I bet you will get lots of help. If it is specific to the GeoPro/EPro 16BH you will still probably find an answer here.

There is probably more information on this forum about towing than you are willing to read.

Remember, you will see differing opinions on almost every subject. You will need to learn from all sides of the discussion and make your own decision.

Welcome to the forum and camping.

Water/Power

Hi everyone, thanks for the welcome!

So, I am just going to let myself be ok with sounding like a complete moron newbie.

First few questions that have been on my mind:

1.) When I hook up hose to city water, I don't need water pump, correct? And if so....how do I use water heater without using my water tank? Is there a separate smaller "water heater tank"?

2.) For connecting to shore power...does the camper just "know" that it is plugged into a 30A, and it will stop using the solar/batteries while I am plugged in?

I am sure there are more to come...TIA

Correct, no pump needed. The city water pressure will fill your water heater. Basically the only difference is the water source... tank (pump pressurized) vs city water

You will need to turn on your converter. It will be one of the AC breakers. Solar will still be working to supply DC. The electronics will figure it out.

I am sure there are more to come...TIA
No need to apologize. We all started as newbies. Just be glad this resource exists. Steepens the learning curve significantly.

Welcome to the group. Remember two things....One...every single one of us were you at some point...and two, because of #1, to us, there are no stupid questions. As stated previously, when you ask, you will often get the firehose treatment with differing opinions. Will be up to you to separate the help from the no so helpful. Best of luck and enjoy

Orientation

I am slowly figuring this out, question by question. But I thought I would take a shot and ask - Is there anyone in Colorado that would want to make some $ to do a little on site "orientation" with me?

I'm kind of shocked there is not already someone in this business, considering all of the questions I see in this forum, and how little dealers seem to care about helping anyone once the check clears.
