First time RV owner
Hello everyone,
My family and I have bought a new camper and we are super excited to embrace the life of RVing, but are unsure what to explore first!
It certainly would be nice for some friendly suggestions in which direction to head within Ontario would be ideal. After the borders open up sure would be nice to do some state side camping!

Welcome from Wisconsin. Congrats and enjoy your new camper! First place I suggest you 'explore' is camp driveway or a campground close to home. Not to explore the trails and views but to explore the camper itself and it's various systems.

1. Camp first in your driveway or backyard. Try everything.
2. Camp near home, say within an hour. Try everything again.
3. Camp in the most beautiful place you can find.

Welcome! It looks like Algonquin is just up the road from you. That is on my bucket list of places to visit.

Thanks for everyone’s suggestions! We have it setup on our driveway currently lol
We are going to make sure everyone is comfortable sleeping in it first with three children under six and a set of twins it’s pretty hectic at times.
Our oldest and I are going to sleep in it tonight and next week all of us are going have a sleepover should be fun!!

Welcome from Baja Arizona! Ppine pretty much nailed it. Try it out in convenient locations first. We took our new trailer to a campground less than a half-hour from home for its first outing last weekend. The advantage of this is, when we figure out we forgot something, need something we didn't realize, etc., we're not far from either home, or a convenient place to go pick it up. It can be pretty miserable to be over an hour from anywhere, and realize you don't have something you need.

I think a great place for your first weekend camping is in your own driveway. Spend the whole weekend in your camper and figure everything out while maintaining the security of being within walking distance of home. Fill up your fresh water tank, use the shower and bathroom in the camper. Do everything you would normally do while camping. Figure out where the nearest dump station is to your house and at the end of the weekend, take the camper to the dump station to dump the tanks. Make trips to the house only to get supplies that you discover you need for the camper.

Hi,
Good afternoon. Just another day in Paradise. When you can make a vacation in the Mid West area. Some great camping in Iowa, Missouri, and Arkansas. Have fun.
