First time TT owner

Today my wife and I purchased a 2017 274VFK. We are super excited about it and can't wait for it to arrive at the dealer and begin camping again. Previously had a pop-up. Any advice on owning a travel trailer? Must have items? Etc...

Welcome, and congrats on your new unit!!!

Ohhh the list of must have items, that is really going to depend on what type of camping you will be doing... Our must have items have changed sooooo much over the years. It is really amazing the amount of crap we hauled around for so long and never used it.

:Welcome and Congrats X2 from a fellow V-Nose owner. Someone on this forum mentioned a must have item and lately I have found it very useful, "A good sense of Humor"...

Welcome from NW Florida and we are new also even though this is our second TT. I took a notepad with us on our first trip and we wrote down the things that we still needed even after watching many hours of youtube and seeing the must haves that others have posted. We have actually gone a second time now and we keep adding to the list. Hopefully the list will end one day....lol.....

LOL the list never ends for me... you will find crap you thought you would use. I got plenty of that. We lost our trailer in a storm and I was totally amazed in how much crap I got out of it... and I was still adding. Just search for lists and put on your seat belt as you will be bombarded with suggestions. Some are really needed and maybe some not.

Mainly just enjoy

If you do a search here on the forums you will find lots of suggestions on what to get. Some items can wait but some are better to have from the start like a upgraded sewer hose instead of what the cheap one that some dealers gives out.

For us, we bought a little bluetooth speaker we carry because we love music and the outside speakers are poor quality on our unit. We also purchased a couple of nice quality chairs and a couple tables because you can never have too many tables! Extension cords are a must for us! We use them for outdoor skillet, extra lights, fans, and someone always needs another and borrows one. I keep a small toolbox with all the stuff you would expect plus teflon tape for threads, faucet grease for a sink leaking, an adjustable water regulator and also a power gfci for those poor quality power moments. I also use that toilet liquid to keep the stink down on every trip. Hope this helps!
