First timer here!

Or should I say, future first timer? I'm going tomorrow to pick up my Wildwood 26DBUD. AND I'M VERY EXCITED!
We've been getting by with staying in my best friends RV for years, it's time to go out on our own. I just bought a Silverado 1500 with 5.3 V-8, it has a 9,600 tow rating. I believe we should be good to go? It has trailer brakes also.
I'm not planning on an mountain trips, mostly to the beach and areas within a 300 mile radius of San Antonio.
I'm looking forward to the fun new experience of being an RV owner, any tips are welcome.

If you have problems/questions about your trailer make sure to post it under the heading for Wildwood.
If it’s a particular appliance, post your questions under the appropriate heading.

Welcome. You are steps ahead of me as a newbie here. My family are totally new to RV’ing and will be getting our TT by months end. We already pre-purchased but need to go and finalize the deal.

I can only give the advice of trucks.....know your trucks payload rating as that is as crucial as overall towing capacity.
