832 ikbs
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your purchase. A fine selection, I might add. We bought the same model with Diamond Package. It is a really good floor plan. We pick ours up this week. We had fifth wheels in the past and it is amazing what they have accomplished with travel trailers. As we discovered..bigger is not always better. Hope you enjoy your RV and traveling as much as we do. Maybe we will see you on the road sometime.

Welcome ! and Congrats on the new rig! We picked up ours in late April. towed about 2,000 miles with it now.. and LOVE IT! A few bugs (awning recall, converter buzz, rear stabilizer jacks) but think it's all under control now.
Heading to next weeks NASCAR race with it.. and Sept we leave for a 4500 mile+ run.

Thanks....Sounds like you are really giving it a workout. Fun trips. Glad to hear you like it so much. We are getting some of the issues taken care of right now and hope to pick it up soon. Have a safe trip.

Congrats! - this is our first year with a camper (Salem 26TBUD) and have loved every trip. The first few outings were nerve-wracking between backing it up, dealing with the dump station, learning how to drive with a trailer, etc. but now it's second nature. This forum is a great source of info, and it's nice to have another on board!
Enjoy the camper!

Flagstaff 832IKBS
I am in the process of buying this model Flagstaff because of the floor plan that u like as well. The MSRP on mine is 43K and I can get it for 36K but I haven't agreed on that price yet. I offered 30K because the markup on these RV's is supposed to be 40%, making dealer cost about 26K. Is this correct? How much did you pay, if you don't mind saying.
Thanks,
Rodney

Rodney,
I do not mind saying I tried researching this too before purchasing, since it was our first and wanted to make sure I wasn't overpaying. Like everyone will tell you, a good price is the one you're comfortable paying. That being said, we negotiated ours to $32,500, before TTL. This price also included the least expensive brake controller they sold. It was a bit more than I would have liked to have paid overall, but still within our budget. We started the negotiations off at $29,900. Knowing what I know now, I would have started a bit lower. Another thing to keep in mind, is that the dealer's margin looks to depend a lot on where they are in the country. The price we paid for this model seems to be about what they are going for in TX. In the NE region, they seem to go for a bit cheaper, judging by the internet prices.
I believe the "MSRP" on our was $43k as well. Our negotiations took about 2hrs. They were a 'no deal' at $32k, but for some reason the extra $500 did it and the agreed to the $32,500.
