flying solo with a little help from my friends :)

Long story short..... he got the truck and I got the camper. He always took care of the setup and I managed the food/setup and domestics. I've had it in storage for 3 years because it felt overwhelming, but I finally decided to get a seasonal site and enjoy it. Go big or go home right? Now I'm learning as I go with a little help from my friends.

2018 Forest River Wildwood X-Lite.

My issue is that I am not getting water to the toilet, but everywhere else has running water. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance. This looks like a great community and I'm excited to join.

The nicest word I can use is “crud” from the water heater is clogging up the waterline screen connector at the rear of the toilet. It’s been reported for years.
Depending on how yours is positioned in the bathroom will determine how difficult it will be to disconnect and clean the screen.

CRUD!!!! That’s it.

No, the toilet is not plumbed from the water heater but when people drain their water heaters through low point drains instead of the water heater drain, crud sometimes gets drawn out of the water heater into plumbing valves throughout the unit.

Do you mean bidet?

Thanks

Thank you so much for the valuable information! The camping community has been so kind and welcoming. Glad to be a part of it and hopefully I can help someone in the future!

This is what a common toilet valve looks like. (mounted inside the toilet)
You'll probably need to unscrew the water connection off the back (be sure water is off!) and clean the clogged screen. The connection is often hard to get to and hard to see as it is usually near the wall with not much room to get there.

As was mentioned, when the water system is drained by the low point drains AND the water heater WAS NOT put into bypass, the mix tube inside the water heater tank sets low enough that it will siphon crud from the bottom of the tank back into the plumbing where it is redistributed on repressurization.

When draining the low point drains, it is always best to bypass the water heater.
Photo is of the inlet tube in a Suburban water heater through the anode hole.
You can see how close the bottom of the tank it is positioned.
