Forest River Viking

I am new to this forum but not new to camping. Started tent camping in about 1964 and now own my 4th travel trailer. My home base is Prairieville, LA.

My rig is a 2019 Forest River Viking 17FQS towed with a 2010 Dodge Ram pickup. It is small but efficient and suits us well.

We try to go out at least once a month for 3 to 4 days.

I do not see much information or reviews on Forest River Vikings. Does anyone else out there own a Viking of any size? If you do I'd like to read some of your experiences with it.

I don’t think there’s too many Vikings on here, but there’s a few Clippers. Mine is a 2015 17BH and it’s been awesome!!!

Hi and Welcome to FRF! Viking is a Coachmen division and I believe that your Viking is a clone of the Clipper line.

We have Viking 17RD which we love. It is like sitting in a patio room wherever we go. We are outside most of the time but when the weather turns cooler, it sure is nice to warm up in a comfortable space. In 2018 we spent 4 weeks along the east coast and in 2019 we spent 4 weeks in the northern Rockies. In Sept we are going to spend 3 weeks in the Bighorns, Devils Tower, Black Hills areas.
For us, this size TT works out great because it will go into some really remote areas without damage. It fits great in National Park camping sites. I also use my camper as my dry hunting cabin. I set the temp at 40 degrees and zip up the sleeping bag. The furnace rarely runs.
