from pop-up to expandable

Greetings from Northern Pennsylvania. Today we traveled to Wilkin's RV, NY to look at a Palomino expandable that was on sale, and we learned that what you see online is at times very different in person, which turned out to be the case today. We were quite disappointed to say the least..well until the sales rep pointed out this 2011 Forest River Shamrock. Gosh if the thing didn't look practically brand new inside & out, barely used. So short story we traded out our 2004 Sequoia highlander pop-up and graduated to this nice hybrid travel trailer. We will pick up the trailer in two weeks. It's exciting, and intimidating at the same time, new things to learn, septic systems, holding tanks..etc. I'm glad I found this forum, I intend on reading, listening, and hopefully learn what I need to know to be successful this coming camping season and years to come.

it's the 19' version. Larger than our 14' pop-up but surprisingly similar in weights

welcome to the forum from maryland. we also went from popup to shamrock, though we went with the 23ws. we have had the shamrock a year now and have no regrets. May you have many happy trips in yours.

Welcome from Wisconsin and congrats on your 2011 Shamrock. Back in the day we had a 2004 Niagara HW and loved it.
