from pop-up to toy hauler

Question right off the bat as the walk thru was months ago!

We bought a 2021 Cherokee Grey Wolf 22RR Limited toy hauler in October 2021. Have not used it yet.

Does the A/C run on propane if you had to "dry camp" at a spot. Or do you still need electric to run A/C? I believe I remember the stove and fridge will run on propane. Will post this ? in another thread under the Cherokee section for more views too. TIA

I’ve never seen propane Air conditioning, that would be something I would be interested in.
Also double check your refrigerator, some are 12 volt and not propane.

The air conditioner will require electricity (either shore power, a built-in generator, or a separate generator that you plug the unit into).

Nope, the a/c is 120v AC only so no propane.
And, as Homebrew recommended, verify what type of fridge it is. Post make and model number of the fridge.

Thanks for suggestions. Been trying to get the garage finished and haven't had any time to go camping yet

well I've been meaning to buy a backup generator for the house to run well pump when our electric goes out. Maybe just another reason to get one. Have a camping trip planned for July 4 in NC but thinking needing air to keep the dogs cool during the day. Site I'm looking at has 2 with electric/water and 4 with water only. Waiting to hear back what's open

If you plan on using the generator in a campground, be sure it's an INVERTER generator, not a noisy open frame contractor-style generator.

and check the rules of the campground - it is not uncommon that they have a no generator use after 10 pm rule.

Some campgrounds end generator usage at 8 or 9pm.

That's not simply a matter of courtesy. Some campgrounds disallow them entirely.

In addition to air conditioning for the pup, the refrigerator and water heater have electric ignition which requires charged batteries. If you've got a 12v or residential fridge, you're definitely going to need a generator. We got a dual fuel for the house for these reasons. If we run it on propane, we don't have to store the gas or clean the carb. Plus we can store the propane easier for emergencies. One look at the cars lined up to get gas for their generator after a hurricane made us spend the money for dual fuel.

Before you head out for the 4th of July, you might want to try a weekend of driveway camping. Looks like you've got the perfect spot.

Welcome to the forum.
