Frustrated new owner.

We traded in our 2006 Starcraft 2500rks for a 2019 Cherokee 274vfk in late November. We absolutely love this new travel trailer but we only got to use it for 5 nights before having to winterize it and cover it for the winter. Now I have to sit and wait for three months before we can use it again.

Well, Spring will be here before we know it.

Bill.... Don't get too discouraged. We purchased our 2017 Coachmen in December, 2016. The dealer had the trailer winterized. So, needless to say, we didn't get to use it until.... We had a fluke warm-up in Feb. when temps hit near 70. I told the DW we were going camping and we were the only ones camping in the state park!!

It was great, hang in there!!

I feel your pain. I just traded my Cruiser MPG 3100BH for a 2019 Coachmen Chaparral 392MBL 3 days ago. Its killing me sitting here looking at it and knowing that I can't take it out for another 3 1/2 months lol.

I wish I could relate, probably like most of us in Texas. We, our family, use our RV throughout the year, even go to New Mexico at spring break to ski. There are some northern areas in TX where people may winterize, but I've been to most of those areas in winter and the parks are full.

We just got back from San Antonio. I'll light a few fires for you this winter.

I couldn't wait another 3 months to go camping, so I fired up the furnace and camped in my backyard last night. It only got down to 10 degrees s it stayed nice and toasty inside. I had the furnace set at 60 degrees and only needed a light blanket. However, I did have an arctic weight sleeping bag on the bed next to me in case the furnace ran out of lp during the night.

You can find a few campgrounds in Wisconsin that are open for snowmobilers. We were seasonals in one about 8 years ago on New Years Eve. They had a bonfire and pot luck for everyone there. Everyone had their snowmobile suits on and stayed up till 4am while the fire burned out. Was a good time for all.

We are in the same boat. We picked up our 26RBWS on the 14th of December, got it home and put the cover over it. We decided that our 2015 GMC 1500 SLE was not quite big enough so I just traded up for a 2018 GMC 3500 SLE that we got a killer price on. Should not have any problems pulling the camper loaded to it’s max weight if required.
