Hello everyone! My wife and I are fresh empty nesters, have put the house up for sale, and bought an F-450 and River Ranch for a change of lifestyle.
I am not retired but will be in about 5 years and we like RVing. Our previous rig is a Heartland Sundance bunkhouse bumper pull. I hope there are other River Ranch owners that can share their experience as we will share as we learn more about this new floorplan. We live in Colorado but bought the new rig in Shakopee MN. I can tell you the basement is no joke! This thing can handle a lot of stuff underneath and the heat pump does a great job keeping it warm as long as it is >45 degrees outside. I felt compelled to buy a large digital scale for loading so I can keep the payload in check.
Great job being mindful of the payload. All of that storage is going to be tempting to carry all the things!

When you're doing a payload check, remember your fresh and grey water. If I'm looking at the correct rig, you've got a 75 gal fresh water tank and a 75 gal grey water tank. That's a heck of a lot of water.
Nice looking rig. I like the layout. Should be perfect for full timing it.
This afternoon we just got a great site at the RV park we wanted. We were expecting having to wait until Aug-Sept to get in that park but they had some sudden openings in the full-timer area. Now we can put our full focus on the house sale and moving. Downsizing after 16 years in a home where we raised 3 kids is a huge task.
