Hi everyone, here's the deal.
Excited to order a 2014 233s and take delivery mid April - almost ready to go
Just discovered we need a new tranny for our 2004 navigator - not happy

But, finding out now is WAY better than finding out on your first trip out with the new baby.

I agree, get a new tv too! Something besides a Ford.

Welcome to the board and congrats on the new toy!

Thanks for the welcome everyone. The budget for this year means we will be fixing the Navigator at this point, but I will post some pictures once we get the new RV. Hopefully they won't just from on our driveway!

Ouch. I will be having my transmission taken out myself, so I feel your pain. For me, it is a replacement for the factory weak torque converter. Good luck and welcome.

Are you going with a stock replacement or have one built to tow?

Welcome from SW Idaho.

Great question Ford Idaho.
All I can say at this point is that it comes with a 12 month warranty and that we might look to trade the truck before we tow again in 2015. The original tranny was part of the factory tow package but only lasted 160km (with no towing) so I do not have too much faith in replacing it with another one that might be just the same. Other than that, the truck is mint!
All of our trips this year will be within Ontario, so we won't be putting too much stress on the replacement part. Nevertheless, as a rookie I do appreciate your thoughts on this.
