Greetings from Montana

We just picked up a new 2016 Coachmen Prism 24G. I flew out to pick it up and drove it 900 miles home to Montana.

So far I have a few issues that need warranty work, which I hope to have done soon so the coach becomes usable. The awning is improperly installed and the door when open hits the awning frame if the awning is extended.

We will use the new coach to travel around in the summer and to go back and forth from Montana to our winter place in Arizona and some travel around there.

Thanks for the Welcome! We're between Missoula, Helena and Great Falls. Looking forward to getting a few issues cleared up and taking a maiden voyage. (the 900 miles from dealer to home doesn't count!)

Welcome from West Virginia

We would love to visit Montana some day in our 2005 Santara MH.
I recall the days University of Montana played Marshall U. for the NCAA Div. II Championships. Always great people and fans from Montana. We'd love to visit and attend a game there sometime.

Congrats from another 24G owner. Excellent choice. We love ours. So far put on about 2,000 miles. No major issues. Picked up in February, been camping twice, have 4 more planned trips this year.

Btw, same issue with my awning. I put a rubber bumper on the door. Only hit if the door swung open quick. Was not thrilled with the prospect of tearing down and moving the awning. Sometimes the cure is worse than the problem.

Happy camping!

Thanks! The other awning issue is that the last 3 inches on the rear are not held in place in the channel on the RV by the plastic cord that runs through it. I suspect the awning fabric will need to be removed to fix it.

As for the door, I was looking at some way to limit it from opening quite so far. The fastener in the entrance looks to be pretty loose. A door stop seems like a good fix.

Do your recliners recline all the way? Mine hit the wall so I'd like to slide them out maybe an inch but even after loosening all 8 nuts that fasten the hold down clamps to the floor, they won't move.

Yes, mine extend all the way. Very slight rubbing against the wall but does not prevent them from fully extending.
